Lansing Michigan

On the weekend of April Fool's Day 2000, I attended a very educational conference for writing tutors in Michigan's capital city of Lansing.  We spent much of our two days there at Lansing Community College, host of the conference, learning exciting new trends in tutoring.  I'm not going to get involved in discussing all that here -I have to save my strength for the paper I'm trying to churn out for the chancellor ;-)

What will be discussed, debated, and turned into a great big fat dead horse issue is the fine city of Lansing and all its amenities (such as the Michigan National Clock Tower at left).  Er- would you believe I threw together a couple of pics and some meaningless side commentary?

Beautiful Downtown Lansing at day and night.  These views were brought to you by my bedroom window at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing.

Above we have the establishing shot: Lansing Community College and at right we have some enthralled tutors waiting for the conference to begin.

'Tis I the webmaster posing on that bench at left.  Would you believe I was sitting in an English Garden?  Considering the picture at right, then perhaps not.  This architecturally unique park was located next to LCC.

Finally, some parting shots of Lansing and its many fine works of construction.
